Everybody lies. It is a universal human characteristic. You may be an excellent person who'll tell wrong never to hurt your friend's feelings, into a cheating spouse, to spies and superheroes, we lie. But many of us wish no one would mislead us. Based on Webster's Dictionary, wrong is really a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive. People lie for numerous reasons, sometimes with nefarious intentions and other times with wholesome intentions. It could be to keep up a secret, to protect someone from harm, to shield someone's self-esteem from getting hurt, to prevent punishment, to steer someone astray, to break someone, etc.
All lies won't be the same, there are several varieties of lies. Here are a couple:
Omission- Half truths, when one tells the facts but leave out details
Bluff- Pretending to get you aren't have something. Poker players do this to throw off other players
Exaggeration- Stretching reality.
Perjury- Lying under oath or affirmation in the court. A serious felony
White lie- Minor lie that offers comfort to the recipient. If you intent to living among other folks within a society, you'll need to commit this lie often.
Bold-Face- a clear and unbelievable lie
Fabrication- giving a press release as true despite not knowing regardless of whether it really is true.
Noble lie- told if the overall advantage of creating a lie is larger with a grander scale than learning the truth (e.g. Ozymandias' plan after Watchmen).
Along with the list goes on. These are generally some signals liars produce when lying. Recognize these signals plus you've got a high probability of spotting a liar.
Avoid answering your question by deflecting it with a truth. E.g. Q."Did you adopt my hotdog?" A."I hate sausages, why would I take yours."
Stiff body movements and gestures. Kept close to body
A lot more than average sweating. (Is also a signal of nervousness from shyness/diffidence)
An excessive amount of information. Telling excessive may be a desperate make an effort to allow you to believe them.
Unusual eye movement. This does not imply avoid fixing their gaze. Truthful people also avoid eye contact from time to time. Right handed people usually look for the left when coming up with wrong and reverse with left-handed people.
